Citroën C5 Aircross SUV – packed with personality

The Citroën C5 Aircross SUV certainly looks like a vehicle with a strong personality. Its robust, muscular stance is punctuated with strong graphic touches such as the Airbump® panels, large wheels, and distinctive roof bars.

Inside the cabin you get a neat, minimalist layout that you can personalise by choosing from a range of design and colour schemes. You will also find extremely comfy seats, a wide central console and soft, warm materials which enhance the feeling of refinement.

For those drivers who enjoy an occasional off-road jaunt, you will need to bear in mind that the Citroen C5 Aircross doesn’t come with the option of four-wheel drive. You can, however, add the optional Grip Control.

Available in three highly specified trim levels Feel, Flair and Flair Plus, the C5 Aircross is powered by a range of efficient, high-performance PureTech petrol and BlueHDi diesel engines, and offers the latest generation EAT8 fully automatic gearbox. The Flair Plus trim adds Highway Driver Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and Speed Recommendation and Intelligent Beam Headlights together with keyless entry, a panoramic roof, wireless phone charging and an automatic boot lid.

In terms of connectivity, standard kit across the range includes Mirror Screen® function, compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay™ and MirrorLink®

The comfort levels are replicated in the rear where you’ll find three individual seats. This lets you move the seats forwards or backwards or recline them independently from one another so that passengers of all sizes can fit comfortably. The boot volume ranges from 580-litres to 720-litres, and up to 1,630-litres with the second row seats folded down.

The Citroen C5 Aircross is very easy SUV to drive. The higher sitting position and large windows gives the driver good all-round vision. The rear windscreen is though, quite narrow, but opt for the Flair and Flair Plus models and you will get a reversing camera to help with manoeuvring into tight spots.

If you spend more time on the motorway than country lanes, however, you’ll appreciate how quiet the Citroen C5 Aircross is at speed. There is almost no wind or engine noise that makes its way into the cabin whilst you are cruising along.
