Rivus Garage Network to support LEVCs new VN5 Electric Van

Rivus Fleet Solutions and LEVC (London Electric Vehicle Company) have agreed a strategic partnership which will provide access to a service and maintenance network for owners of LEVC’s new zero emissions capable van, VN5, and its iconic TX taxi.

Having been appointed as an official LEVC Authorised Repairer this month, Rivus will equip 20 garages from its UK network to be able to carry out service and warranty work on the vehicles by the end of October. This will strengthen LEVC’s UK Authorised Repairer network to 37 garages. The garages have been carefully selected to provide coverage throughout the UK and will be supplied with LEVC diagnostic equipment and access to a supply chain partner for OEM parts. Owners of VN5 vans and TX taxis will be able use the Rivus network for non-warranty work, such as servicing, maintenance, general repairs and MOTs.

The new British-built van will be available this Autumn and is based on proven range extender technology that’s already in use with LEVC’s TX taxi. It shares other qualities with the TX, such as class leading running costs, durability, and a flexible electrically driven range of up to 300 miles*.

The well-established garage network infrastructure operated by Rivus makes them uniquely placed to support LEVC with their new vehicles, as Rivus Garage Services Director, Geoff Allison explains, “As we have a national footprint, a long experience in supporting manufacturer warranties and a team of multi-skilled technicians at every site, we can offer the flexibility and scale that meets the needs of a leading electric vehicle manufacturer. Our agreement with LEVC has created a real buzz around Rivus and this represents a key milestone for us as the industry moves towards a greener future.”

Geoff adds “We’re also excited to learn even more about the LEVC VN5 as potential fleet vehicle for our customers. There’s a rapidly growing need for commercial vehicle operators to have access to alternative fuel vehicles and LEVC’s VN5 model will help deliver significant reductions in carbon emissions.”

Joerg Hofmann, LEVC CEO, commented: “As a key part of our business growth strategy, our global service network is also expanding rapidly. This new partnership with Rivus Fleet Solutions is a significant step forward, doubling LEVC’s service footprint in the UK. We are delivering on our commitment to ensure that our customers are never further than a 45-minute drive from an authorised site.”
