The Fuel Store has announced a leadership transition designed to position the business for its next phase of growth and long-term success.
Founder and current CEO Jamie Bridgen will move into the role of Managing Director, where he will focus on driving revenue growth through enhanced customer propositions and service. Jamie will lead the development of new commercial initiatives while continuing to promote the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined the business over the past decade.
From 1 October, Neil Radley will be appointed Chief Executive Officer. Neil brings extensive experience in leading public and private companies, with a strong track record of delivering growth and operational excellence. His appointment follows a successful tenure as strategic advisor to the business. Neil’s fresh perspective and proven leadership will complement Jamie’s entrepreneurial focus, creating a powerful partnership to drive the company forward.
This evolution in leadership reflects The Fuel Store’s maturity, ambition, and commitment to building a scalable, customer-focused business that delivers long-term value. It is also part of a wider organisational change designed to enhance agility, strengthen execution, and unlock new opportunities across the fleet solutions space.
Jamie Bridgen commented: “Mehma and I founded The Fuel Store 10 years ago, and we’ve been proud to lead its growth into a trusted partner for thousands of UK fleets. As we scale further, I am excited to focus on innovation, commercial strategy, and strategic vision. Neil’s leadership will be instrumental in unlocking our next chapter, and I look forward to working closely with him to build even greater value for our customers and stakeholders.”
Andrew Blazye, Chair of the Board, added: “This marks an exciting new chapter for The Fuel Store. Having worked with Neil previously, I am confident in his ability to lead the business forward and build on the strong foundation Jamie, Mehma and the team have created.”
Neil Radley said: “The Fuel Store has built an impressive platform, and I am thrilled to join at such a pivotal moment. Having spoken to the existing shareholders and executive team I was impressed with their shared vision for the organisation and the opportunity for profitable growth. I am very excited about working with Jamie and the wider team to optimise that opportunity and deliver on its ambitious growth strategy.”
This leadership transition is about more than titles. It signals The Fuel Store’s ambition to be more than a fuel card provider. The company is building on its strong foundations to act as a true partner for businesses that run fleets, providing services and expertise that extend beyond fuel management. By positioning itself as an extension of its customers’ operations, The Fuel Store aims to help businesses cut costs, improve efficiency, and prepare for the changing energy and mobility landscape.
