Activa supports Peel Ports with its sustainability goals

Peel Ports, the second largest port group in the UK, is taking a significant step towards environmental sustainability with the recent acquisition of four cutting-edge electric pickup trucks, supplied through its leasing partner, the Contract Hire specialist Activa. This investment underscores Peel Ports’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and embracing eco-friendly solutions in its day-to-day operations.

The four Police electric pickup trucks, Maxus P90’s, are an addition to the port’s security in conjunction with the police and represent a pivotal shift in Peel Ports’s vehicle fleet strategy. These eco-friendly Police vehicles offer numerous advantages, including reduced emissions and lower operating costs.

Activa offers industry leading fleet management services allowing customers to fully rely on its highly experienced support teams and range of services including telematics, rapid provision of cars and breakdown cover.

“We are thrilled to announce our latest investment in electric vehicles,” said Malcolm Oliver White – Group Head of Asset Management at Peel Ports.
