Crawley-based commercial recycling and waste management company, the Recycling Partnership, is expanding its routes across the South East to accommodate more customers. To facilitate the introduction of new services the company has invested in a fleet of new vehicles.
Jason Taylor Group Commercial Manager, The Recycling Partnership: “We have extended our coverage and diversified to offer additional recycling collections, so we have purchased three brand-new collection vehicles to meet increasing demand.”
The new vehicles comprise two Mercedes Econic chassis with Dennis Olympus bodies and Beta trade lifts, and one Mercedes Econic Terberg Toploader. The vehicles were supplied by Refuse Vehicle Solutions Ltd (RVS) as part of its innovative RediTruck service, which provides ‘off the shelf’ refuse trucks, from stock, to meet short time-lines.
Safety is of the utmost importance to the Recycling Partnership, which is FORS bronze accredited and the vehicles are fitted with 4-way camera systems and Cyclist hotspot, which includes a warning light and left-turn warning alarm. In addition, the vehicles have been equipped with bi-lines to ensure the maximum safety for staff during vehicle maintenance procedures.
The Recycling Partnership, operates a fleet of 22 multi-collection vehicles and runs its own recycling centre. The fleet is equipped with VWS bin-weighing, integrated with the PurGo waste management software system, to monitor and report weight data for customers.
Jason added: “Bin-weighing has helped us improve efficiencies. Customers can see for themselves how much they are disposing of, so they can take steps to reduce waste and recycle more. For our part, we know how much we are collecting from each customer, so we can encourage waste segregation, hence the introduction of additional recycling collections.”
The Recycling Partnership collection services include dry mixed recycling, glass recycling, food recycling, mixed waste, office recycling, confidential waste shredding, Hazardous Waste, WEEE waste and skip hire. For more information visit www.recyclingpartnership.co.uk tel: 01342 715456
