Crown Commercial Service – Fleet Portal Update

With the future and speed of recovery within the fleet industry still unclear, the impact of coronavirus (COVID-19), and the resulting lockdown, has been dramatic.

Many public sector fleets are now assessing the impact and reviewing their fleet profiles to make sure they can adapt and thrive in a radically different world.

One area where COVID-19 will accelerate change is the journey to electrification. With the drop in air pollution levels seen as one of the few positive effects of lockdown, the inevitable shift to electric will happen at an increased pace.

This presents the public sector fleet with an opportunity to be at the vanguard of this change and reduce their carbon footprint by optimising vehicle usage and transitioning to ULEVs.

While the electric vehicle revolution is clearly upon us, there are still many barriers that fleets need to overcome to make it a reality – the road to electrification can often seem a daunting one.

Our suite of Total Fleet Solutions can support your journey to electrification. Whether you need help reviewing your existing fleet or want to implement solutions to help the transition, our frameworks and category experts are here to help.
